On 7 May 2026, BELGABIZ held its annual General Assembly, bringing together members for an overview of the club’s achievements and future plans.

During the official program, participants looked back on the activities and the results of 2025, followed by the presentation of BELGABIZ’s 2026 plans by President Jim Bauters.

New members were also warmly welcomed to the community.

The evening then continued with a very special networking event dedicated to celebrating and thanking Barbara Grits, who is leaving her position as Club Secretary after almost 11 years of devoted service. Barbara has been part of BELGABIZ almost from the very beginning, and through her kindness, positive spirit and dedication, she contributed immensely to the success and warm atmosphere of the club. Members, friends and partners expressed their gratitude during an emotional farewell celebration filled with speeches, memories and gifts.

The Ambassador and the President both thanked Barbara for her outstanding commitment and wished her every success and happiness for her future plans.

The event also marked the official handover of the secretariat to Szonja Bender, who was warmly welcomed into her new role. The BELGABIZ community wishes her great success for the years ahead.
